do you have any idea how hard it is some mornings to make a glass of water without vomiting?!?

just in case you were wondering...

it IS possible to eat too many cupcakes on your birthday.

maybe it didn't help by eating a large salad for lunch.
hmm....

just thought i would pass that little tip around...

graceful move no. 309,451

i'm wearing stockings today.

i used a seat cover for the toilet.

as i stood up i started to hitch up said stockings.

the toilet seat cover started to come up with said stockings...while said seat cover was also falling into the toilet.

i then spent the next five minutes desperately trying to unroll the stockings to get the seat cover out of them while not letting the toilet end of the cover touch me.

sigh.
it's a real delight to know me.

awesome things i heard at a baby shower

and no, none of them have to do with a breast pump or swaddling

1. there's going to be a bridesmaid bar crawl. this is the time to pull out that old dress that you were told you can wear again (knowing full well that you never will again) and go out drinking. perfection.

2. something called a "wine club": everyone brings a bottle of whatever grape is picked. put the bottles into numbered paper bags. everyone rates them. the winner gets to pick the next grape. the loser has to host. buggie has already volunteered to host our first one.

best baby shower i ever went to!

tough call

i'm not sure which thing i was more excited about.

the fact that my double pointed needles arrived so i can finally make some Terminator arm warmers...

or the fact that the vending machine had cheddar jalapeño flavored cheetos.

apparently my faith is starting to show in my work

i was just told by a client that the color i choose for their project is "too Christian."

um.

it's soft shade of purple.

because i was looking for a spring/summer color.

yeahhhhh...

i've never seen my stylist so happy

so this weekend...i went dark.

very, very dark.

i've always had blonde hair (expect for that period in my life where a former stylist insisted on dying it a poppy red color). i got inspired by a former roommate and decided to chat with my stylist about the possibility of going darker.

before i had even finished the sentence he was shouting "LOVE IT" and running to get the color swatches.

we decided on a color one shade lighter than he had original thought.

when it was all done, my first thought was "holy. crap."

i'm slowly getting used to it.

for the love of all that is holy, put some pants on!

lesson i learned this morning:
ALWAYS check your gym bag to ensure that you brought everything you'll need.

sigh.

i forgot to bring pants with me to the gym.
i remembered everything else.
just not pants.

i mean work lets me slide with jeans, but i think even they would frown at me wearing sweaty gym pants to work.

so i had to go back home and find my pants.

instead of getting to work about 20 minutes early, i was 30 minutes late.

i'm so special.

things i learned this weekend

1. i find it harder and harder to go out on a friday night

2. i found my first gray hair (it's possible that i've had more, but i've been coloring my hair ever since i came out to the side of the country that has so few sunny days)

3. i cannot drink beer in mass quantities

4. the fourth "waterfall" in the game of "kings" is deadly

5. the game "rock band" is cooler than i thought it would be

6. my jaw will crack at the most unfortunate times

7. throwing everything into my closet is an effective way to clean up before someone comes over unexpectedly
