text message i received from some guy i used to date:
"hey, how've you been?"
there are many things wrong with this message (well...really with him in general):
1. we dated briefly two years ago
2. he didn't want anything serious
3. i stopped taking his calls
4. he was lousy to make out with
why the hell get in touch with me almost two years after we have talked?!?
what a jackhole.

A friend of mine snogged a girl on New Years a couple of years ago, didn't contact her afterwards but sms'd her about 10 months later and asked her out for a drink and she said YES! How desperate do you have to be to actually say yes?!
Men just seem to have no idea. He was probably scrolling through his phone, saw your number and though "hey she was nice I should give her a shout"
